Tour Summary:


This tour gives you a chance to visit some of the most stunning landscapes northern Malawi has. You will travel the Vipya Plateau with a night at Luwawa Forest Lodge. You will pass through Mzuzu, the most northern city in Malawi. You will also be up close with wildlife and unique landscape in Nyika National Park. Your trip will culminate in a lakeshore travel passing though some of the most beautiful beaches in the land.

Our 7 Days Tour - Itinerary
Day 1:

You are picked from your home or hotel from Lilongwe at 08hrs. You travel the central plains of Lilongwe, Dowa and Kasungu. You will start the descent up the Vipya Plateu with beautiful views of the highlands. You will be at your place, Luwawa Forest Lodge mid afternoon for a night on bed and breakfast basis. While there you may opt to make walks in the forest, do biking and the many other activities in the offered at the lodge. You will have travelled past towns such as Mponela, Madisi and Kasungu.

Day 2:

On this day you depart early. You will have your breakfast and be on the road by 07hrs. You will have a rest and snack break in Mzuzu City and head off for the rugged Nyika National Park. The plan is you arrive in time for your afternoon/evening game activity. You will stay at Chelinda Camp on full board. Nyika National Park is a unique landscape blessed with a cool/cold climate throughout the year. It has a lot of zebras and other animals. The landscape is very unique and beautiful with lots of flowers.

Day 3 and 4.

Your routine will be the same. Have breakfast and head off for your morning game activity that lasts about 4hrs. You are back at the camp for lunch. After lunch you head back for your afternoon/evening game activity. Your stay at the camp is on full board. In between you may opt to take optional(paid for separately)activities of your choice that include games walks and others.

Day 5:

You start off early for Nkhata Bay. You will have rest and snack break in Mzuzu. You will proceed down the road to Nkhata Bay, going straight to Njaya Lodge at the lake. Njaya Lodge is at Chikale Beach, one of the most stunning and Serene beaches in the north. You may this afternoon opt to swim, take a boat trip to Sanga or any other activity available at Njaya Lodge. Night will be on bed and breakfast basis.

Day 6:

You depart after breakfast at about 08hrs driving past the Vizara Rubber Plantation, along the way and Chintheche all the way along the lake to Dwangwa. Dwangwa Sugar Estate is just by the lake along the road. You will tour the sugar plantation and finally stay overnight at Kasasa within the sugar estate.

Day 7:

You will also depart just after breakfast at 08hrs. You travel past Bua River, visiting the historical town of Nkhotakota, visiting the hot springs and making a branch to Nkhotakota Pottery. Proceed on with the trip past Salima. You are in Lilongwe by 16hrs.
